Videographer/Editor for Disability Advocacy YouTube Series (Toledo, OH-Based)

Hi there! My name is Kelsi Weaver. I’m a social worker, disability advocate, and the creator of Powerfully Disabled — a new YouTube series launching this summer that highlights the voices and stories of women with disabilities who are leaders in advocacy, civic engagement, and social justice. I’m looking for a videographer and/or editor who can help me bring this vision to life in an authentic, professional, and accessible way. ⸻ The ideal partner: • Is located in or near Toledo, Ohio, or able to travel here for in-person filming (if needed) • Has a passion for meaningful, mission-driven work • Understands or is open to learning about disability justice and representation • Is creative, collaborative, and communicates well • Can help with editing multiple episodes (and possibly filming, depending on logistics) ⸻ Project scope: • Series intro video (approx. 2–3 mins) • 6–8 interviews for Season 1 (approx. 20–30 mins each) • Filming will take place at a pace of approximately 3 interviews per month, beginning July 2025 • Video editing with accessibility in mind, including: • Clear captioning • Balanced audio • Pacing/editing suitable for viewers of all access needs • Optional support with thumbnails and YouTube formatting ⸻ Budget: The current offer is $100 per completed episode, with the opportunity for ongoing collaboration as the series progresses. This is a self-funded grassroots project, and I’m committed to compensating fairly while remaining mindful of sustainability. I’m open to slight rate adjustments based on experience and scope of work. ⸻ If interested, please send: • Your portfolio (YouTube links, reels, or sample interviews) • Any experience with advocacy, nonprofits, or inclusive storytelling (optional but appreciated!) • Your typical availability • One sentence about what excites you about this project Thank you so much — I can’t wait to connect and bring this vision to life. I’m looking forward to reviewing your application and learning more about your creative approach. Warmly, Kelsi Weaver Creator of Powerfully Disabled
