Community Development Expert
I'm looking for a community expert to help me develop a community regarding my organization's focus areas. Our organization is QURI, a 501c3 charity working on using software and AI to improve reasoning and epistemics, particularly for high-impact nonprofits. We do a mix of write software and do research. https://quantifieduncertainty.org/ Right now there's a small developing community around this and we want to push it along. We're using a mix of Slack, Discord, and custom newsletters. We're looking for help doing strategy and/or implementation for: * Send periodic surveys to gather community feedback and interests. Discover what collections of people make sense to bring in * Maintain a simple community directory * Identify and invite promising new members * Community moderation and engagement * Experiment with different engagement formats * Event organization, mainly focused on digital events About you: We're looking for someone with experience strategizing and growing communities. The first main thing we need is high-level advice on how to go about this. We could also use help with different parts of the concrete work. I can imagine a good strategist providing 10 to 100 hours of work over the next few months, and a good implementer providing 20 to 200 hours. (But this assumes a great fit)
