Local SEO Specialist for Ongoing WordPress Projects
We're looking for a highly skilled SEO professional with a strong focus on local SEO and on-page optimization for WordPress websites. You'll be responsible for helping our clients rank higher in local search results, driving more qualified traffic and leads to their businesses. Responsibilities: - Perform in-depth keyword research for local search using tools of your choice - Use Google Search Console to monitor performance, identify issues, and track improvements - Execute on-page SEO strategies (titles, meta descriptions, headers, alt text, internal linking) - Optimize local landing pages for search intent and location relevance - Ensure WordPress websites follow SEO best practices - Use tools like Grammarly or similar to ensure error-free content and clean on-site copy - Create monthly reports and provide actionable insights - Collaborate with our content and design teams as needed Requirements: - Proven experience with local SEO and WordPress-based websites - Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, on-page SEO, and relevant tools - Familiarity with SEO plugins (Rank Math, Yoast, etc.) - Excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication - Ability to manage your time and stay organized with multiple projects - Comfortable working in an hourly, as-needed capacity - Experience with Google Business Profile optimization - Knowledge of Schema markup - Understanding of technical SEO (site speed, indexing, sitemaps) - Experience with GA4 and conversion tracking
