We are a locally owned small business based in Iowa, preparing to rebrand from our current name to a new one. Our shop specializes in handcrafted goods— all with a whimsical, storybook-inspired flair. We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented graphic designer with experience in brand identity development to help us bring this vision to life. The ideal candidate will collaborate with us to develop a visual identity that feels handcrafted, imaginative, and timeless — with subtle nods to fairy tale magic. Deliverables: - Primary logo + logo variations (horizontal, stacked, icon-only, etc.) - Color palette - Font pairings - Brand guide (brief but clear for future consistency) Optional: Social media profile/cover mockups or retail signage concepts Design Aesthetic: - Whimsical meets modern - Vintage-inspired with clean lines - Reflective of a handmade, personalized business - Think “enchanted studio” vibes, but not overly childish or cartoonish Must-Haves: - Prior experience with brand identity projects - Portfolio showcasing relevant work - Willingness to incorporate feedback and collaborate on vision - Comfort working within branding for both digital and print use Bonus if you: - Have experience with product-based or boutique businesses - Understand how logos will need to be adapted for embroidery/engraving/printing - Love the magic of storytelling in visual design We hope to start work immediately, and we’re excited to find someone who’s just as passionate about thoughtful, beautiful branding as we are.
