Squarespace Website Designer & Builder (Ongoing Support)
We're a small, creative branding and web design studio looking for an experienced Squarespace 7.1 designer & builder to support us on client projects. This role involves assisting in various phases of the website development process, including: - Designing page layout mockups (Adobe Illustrator preferred) - Building full websites in Squarespace 7.1 - Implementing revisions based on client feedback - Customizing templates using CSS and HTML - Sourcing stock imagery - Working within existing brand guidelines and content We’ll provide clear creative direction, brand tone, and any available guidelines. You’ll collaborate with us to bring each brand to life online with clean, strategic, and beautiful site design. Required experience: - Squarespace 7.1 and its style framework (5 brand colors, 4 heading styles, 3 paragraph styles, etc.) - Strong design eye for layout, hierarchy, and visual balance - Adobe Illustrator preferred (or similar) for layout mockups - CSS & HTML for template tweaks - eCommerce setup and styling - Blog formatting and styling - Familiarity with working within established brand systems - Comfort working independently and responding to feedback with thoughtful updates This is a freelance role with potential for ongoing work. Project timelines vary. Sometimes you’ll help finish a build that’s already in progress, and other times you’ll be involved from the ground up.
