We are a marketing technology company that serves the financial advisory industry and provides a library of email templates that advisors can use to communicate with clients. We are seeking a resource to write monthly and quarterly market update emails this July, with potential for a longer-term financial writing contract if things go well. Specifically, we need someone who can look at current market trends and break them down in a way that is easy to understand for non-financial advisors (their clients!). While personal finance writing is helpful experience to have, we also need someone capable of looking at the stock market and reporting on fluctuations, trends, etc. to clients. Our market updates range from a 750-word average for the monthly to a 1,100-word average for the quarterly market update, leveraging more niche industry sources (e.g., Advisor Perspectives), mainstream news organizations (e.g., CNBC or MarketWatch), and personal finance-focused websites (e.g, Investopedia or NerdWallet). Both updates include: - Overview of major index performance during set period (month or quarter) - Impact of breaking news/political happenings on market/economy - Economic data releases (CPI, PPI, PCE, nonfarm payrolls data, consumer data, etc.) - Inflation - Federal Reserve rate cuts and policy commentary Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you!
