Freelancer Needed to Promote Local Summer Kids Program (VBS) – Facebook Ads, Eventbrite, Nextdoor

We’re a local church preparing to host our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) in mid-July. It’s a fun, faith-based summer program for kids ages 4–11, and we want to reach more families in our community to fill available spots. We’re looking for a digital marketer to help us increase community awareness and drive registrations using a mix of local online tools and targeted advertising. Scope of work: Facebook / Instagram (Meta): Set up and manage geo-targeted ad campaigns Focus on parents within a 5–10 mile radius of our church Use supplied images or collaborate with us on basic visual content Write or polish short, family-friendly ad copy Provide performance tracking/reporting during the campaign Eventbrite: Create and optimize a local event listing Use SEO-friendly titles and tags Link to our existing registration form Nextdoor: Post our event from our account or advise us on best practices Help us craft neighbor-friendly copy and visuals Suggest timing, boosting (if applicable), and community engagement tips Timeline: We'd like to start the campaign by mid-to-late June The event runs in mid-July Campaign duration: 2–3 weeks Deliverables: At least one optimized Facebook/Instagram ad campaign Eventbrite listing with strong local visibility One or more Nextdoor posts or recommendations Weekly brief updates or a simple wrap-up report Budget: Open to hourly or flat-rate proposals We expect the total project cost (excluding ad spend) to be around $250–$500, depending on your experience and scope Ideal Freelancer: Experience with local event marketing and Facebook Ads Manager Familiar with family/faith-based community audiences (a plus) Great communicator and comfortable working with churches or nonprofits Can work independently and offer suggestions
