Hybrid Program/Product/Project Manager – DoD / SBIR Projects

We're Inhance. We design high-impact, interactive experiences for clients who need to inform, inspire, and influence—particularly across defense, aerospace, and innovation sectors. As our government portfolio grows, we’re seeking a hybrid Program/Product/Project Manager to lead execution across SBIR Phase I & II projects and future R&D opportunities. The Role This is not your typical PM job. You'll work at the crossroads of strategy, product development, and delivery—steering early-stage innovation projects from idea to real-world impact. What You’ll Do Lead execution of SBIR Phase I & II projects from kickoff to closeout Shape product vision, roadmaps, and features with internal teams and government stakeholders Manage creative, technical, and engineering teams Oversee schedules, resources, reporting, and compliance Translate DoD user needs into actionable product requirements Collaborate with sponsors (TPOCs, CORs, end users) for continuous alignment and delivery Coordinate demos, user testing, and Phase III transition strategy Support proposal writing and new opportunity capture What You Bring 5–10+ years in program, product, or project management (ideally all three) Experience with DoD innovation programs (SBIR, OTA, BAAs, etc.) Strong cross-functional leadership skills in fast-paced environments Ability to translate user needs into product requirements Familiarity with federal reporting, compliance, and acquisition pathways Systems-level thinking with attention to both strategy and execution Bonus Points For Experience with AFWERX, NAVSEA, DIU, or similar tech ecosystems Background in immersive tech, simulation, or training Southern California–based or open to occasional travel Why It Matters You’ll be at the frontlines of turning government-funded R&D into mission-ready innovation.
