Urgent: Instructional Designer Needed for Thinkific-Based Healthcare Courses (Immediate Start)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instructional Designer to support the development of interactive, simulation-based eLearning content on the Thinkific platform. This role is ideal for someone who has both creative instructional design experience and technical familiarity with Thinkific, including coding capabilities to build dynamic learner experiences. Project Overview: We are a growing provider of online training for allied healthcare careers, including programs in medical assisting, phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, and more. We are looking to elevate our courses by incorporating interactive simulations, refining existing course content, and enhancing learner engagement. Scope of Work: * Design and develop interactive simulations to reinforce course concepts and assess learner decision-making * Edit and update existing course modules for clarity, engagement, and educational effectiveness * Utilize Thinkific's coding capabilities (custom themes, sections, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript integrations) to enhance user experience * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on instructional objectives and implementation timelines * Optimize content for learner outcomes and ease of navigation within Thinkific Requirements: * Proven experience in instructional design for eLearning platforms, with a focus on simulation-based learning * Hands-on experience with Thinkific, including basic coding/customization (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) * Strong portfolio demonstrating interactive course development, ideally within the healthcare or medical training space * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Excellent communication and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: * Background in allied health education or experience designing content for medical learners * Familiarity with adult learning principles and outcome-based education models * Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth online education environment Timeline & Commitment: * Immediate start * Part-time or full-time availability for the next 4 weeks * Potential for ongoing intermittent projects based on performance and business needs To Apply: Please include the following in your proposal: * A brief summary of your experience relevant to this project * Links to or samples of interactive simulations or eLearning modules you’ve developed * Details of your experience with Thinkific, especially with coding or platform customization * Your availability over the next 4 weeks We look forward to working with a creative, detail-oriented instructional designer who can help us create exceptional learning experiences for our students!
