WordPress Developer to Replicate and Support Event Website
We are seeking a skilled and responsive WordPress developer to replicate an existing WP website (https://rc24.nelc.us) for this year's event and provide ongoing support to update content as it becomes available. Project Overview: We already have a clean, functional site from the 2024 event built in WordPress. We’d like to duplicate that site structure and layout for the 2025 version, with some light updates to theme settings, copy, and branding. As the program develops, you’ll update the site with new speaker bios, session details, sponsor logos, and announcements. Scope of Work: Phase 1 – Setup & Initial Updates (Start Immediately) Clone the 2024 site to a new subdomain Update title, branding, and minor site text (year, dates, headings, etc.) Confirm responsive layout and functionality match original Ensure backend is clean and accessible for our team to review and make light edits Phase 2 – Ongoing Content Updates (Late June through September) Upload and format speaker bios, headshots, and session descriptions as received Update agenda, add sponsor logos, and adjust page layouts as needed Be available for quick turnaround (24–48 hours) on periodic updates from the event planning committee Optimize images and formatting for consistency and accessibility Requirements: Proven experience building and customizing WordPress sites Ability to replicate site layout and design without relying on proprietary plugins or licenses Strong eye for formatting, responsive design, and mobile optimization Clear, responsive communication and ability to work with staged content delivery Familiarity with event/conference websites is a plus Experience with Elementor preferred Timeline: Immediate start for Phase 1 setup (ideally within a few days of hiring) Support through at least September 2025 on an initial milestone, then hourly basis.
