Technical Project Manager – Ecommerce Platform Migration (BigCommerce → Shopify) We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration of ecommerce sites from BigCommerce to Shopify. This role is part PM, part platform expert, and part team wrangler — ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, technical environments and knows how to keep cross-functional teams aligned. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination - Review client goals, site requirements, and migration needs - Build and manage a clear project plan with milestones, timelines, and team responsibilities - Schedule and run internal check-ins, workshops, and client updates Platform Migration Oversight - Coordinate product catalog transfers, data mapping, and 3rd-party integrations - Ensure SEO, redirects, and storefront functionality are migrated properly -Flag risks and resolve issues related to Shopify functionality or data integrity Internal and Client Communication - Act as the main point of contact to partner with the internal stakeholders throughout the project - Translate technical updates into clear, client-friendly language - Track client feedback and make sure it’s acted on quickly Team & Task Management - Keep developers, designers, and strategists aligned and accountable - Define task requirements and timelines - Conduct QA reviews and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards Budget & Timeline Management - Monitor project hours and scope - Help prioritize tasks to keep the project on time and on budget - Raise scope changes or delays proactively with internal teams and clients
