Expert SBA Loan & Historic Grant Consultant Needed – No Beginners Please
We're redeveloping a historic hotel in Virginia and are seeking a highly experienced funding professional who can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level role. If you are not well-versed in SBA loans, grant applications, and historic funding programs, do not apply. We do not have time for hand-holding or learning curves. We need someone who knows exactly how to secure SBA 7a or 504 loans, access state and federal grant opportunities, and leverage historic preservation incentives to help us finance and restore a landmark property. Your Role Will Include: -Preparing and submitting SBA loan applications (must know how to package them properly) -Researching and applying for local, state, and federal renovation grants -Identifying and assisting with tax credits and historic preservation programs -Managing compliance and reporting for any public funds received -Communicating regularly and clearly with our ownership and accounting teams Requirements: Verifiable experience securing SBA loans and historic building funds -Deep understanding of funding timelines, documentation, and approval processes -Responsive, highly organized, and capable of independent execution Bonus if You Have: Experience with hotel or hospitality redevelopment Background working with state development authorities or economic incentive offices Timeline: We aim to start by July. SBA and grant submissions must begin immediately, with funding ideally secured within 6 months. This role will remain active throughout the refinance process.
