Communications Contractor Needed
Duration Ramp-up period: May 2025 Full coverage: June - September 2025 Ramp-down period: October 2025 Contract Overview We are seeking an experienced communications professional to serve as a Communications Consultant during a maternity leave coverage. This role will partner closely with Amplitude's Head of Communications and sits within the Corporate Marketing team. The ideal candidate will provide support for our ongoing communications initiatives while bringing their expertise to help maintain momentum on our strategic objectives during this interim period. Key Responsibilities Communications Support: -Support day-to-day public relations activities, providing assistance with media strategy implementation -Assist with content creation for press releases, statements, and media materials -Help maintain momentum on executive thought leadership initiatives -Support company announcements and customer storytelling opportunities -Collaborate with product marketing, customer success, partnerships, and executive teams as needed -Help develop compelling stories that contribute to Amplitude's brand awareness Global Communications Support: -Help coordinate with international teams on regional PR needs -Assist in maintaining relationships with international PR agencies -Support efforts to ensure consistent messaging across global markets Agency Coordination: -Serve as a key point of contact for our U.S. PR agency -Help provide agency partners with necessary resources and information -Assist in tracking agency deliverables and results Executive Communications: -Support ongoing executive communications programs and thought leadership initiatives -Help prepare briefing documents and talking points -Assist with preparation for media interviews and speaking opportunities -Contribute communications insights as needed Crisis & Internal Communications Support: -Partner with cross-functional teams on time-sensitive communications needs -Support high-priority internal communications projects as needed Required Qualifications -10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field -Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities -Strong understanding of the B2B tech media landscape -Experience managing integrated communications programs -Proven ability to work directly with executives and lead agency teams -Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment -Ability to quickly understand Amplitude's business, products, and market position -Experience in enterprise technology communications preferred Contract Details -This is a part-time contract position for approximately 6 months -Flexible hours, approximately 20-25 hours per week -Opportunity to work remotely with occasional virtual meetings -Comprehensive onboarding will be provided in May to ensure smooth transition -Handoff period with current Senior Communications Manager at beginning and end of contract How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume, a brief cover letter explaining their relevant experience, and 2-3 samples of their communications work to [email address].
