Overview: We are looking for an experienced Amazon Ads & Book Marketing Specialist to manage and optimize advertising campaigns for a newly launched book by a relatively unknown author. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of driving down ACOS, increasing conversions, and building visibility for books on Amazon. Responsibilities: Campaign Analysis & Strategy Audit current Amazon Advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, etc.). Identify underperforming keywords, refine targeting, and adjust bids based on data insights. Develop a clear strategy to improve ACOS and achieve both visibility and profitability goals. Keywords & Targeting Conduct in-depth keyword research to find relevant, cost-effective search terms. Implement negative keywords to minimize wasted spend. Regularly monitor and optimize keyword performance and bids. Listing Optimization Suggest improvements to book metadata (title, subtitle, categories, keywords) for higher organic ranking. Provide feedback on cover design, book description, and “Look Inside” elements to boost conversions. Work with the author or design team to enhance listing presentation and brand consistency. Performance Tracking & Reporting Track and analyze ad performance metrics (ACOS, CTR, CPC, impressions, conversion rates). Prepare weekly or bi-weekly performance reports, highlighting key insights and action items. Recommend data-driven optimizations and budget reallocation. Testing & Scaling Run A/B tests on ad creatives, keywords, and targeting strategies. Scale successful campaigns while controlling costs. Identify upsell or cross-promotion opportunities to maximize revenue from each ad click. Qualifications: Proven Experience: Demonstrable success managing Amazon Advertising campaigns for books or related products (please provide examples or case studies). Deep Amazon Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), Amazon Best Seller Rank, categories, and keyword tools. Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills; able to make decisions based on metrics and performance trends. Marketing Know-How: Understanding of book marketing strategies, including cover design best practices, review management, and funnel optimization. Communication Skills: Ability to explain findings, strategies, and recommendations clearly in both written and verbal formats. Tools & Software: Experience with advertising dashboards, spreadsheets, and third-party keyword/analytics tools (e.g., Publisher Rocket, Helium 10).
