Setting Up a Separate Wi-Fi Network with a Daily Data Limit on UniFi Devices
Job Description: I am looking for a UniFi network expert who can assist me remotely in setting up a separate Wi-Fi network (Guest Network) with a daily data usage limit. My home network is connected through a fiber optic router, with a UniFi PoE switch and four access points connected to the switch. Requirements: • Configure a new Wi-Fi network that is completely isolated from my home network, ensuring that devices connected to it cannot access or see any other devices on the main network. • Implement a daily data usage limit per device on the new network, so that once a device reaches the limit, it either gets disconnected or its speed is reduced. • Ensure that the new network functions efficiently without affecting the primary home network. • Provide a brief explanation of how to manage and modify the settings in the future if needed. Tasks: 1. Remote Configuration via Zoom: You will log into my PC and configure the network using the UniFi interface. 2. Network Setup: Create the new network, enable isolation, and set up the daily data usage limit. 3. Performance Testing: Verify that the network is working as required and make any necessary adjustments. Required Qualifications: • Experience with UniFi network administration and Wi-Fi setup. • Knowledge of network isolation (VLANs) and best security practices. • Ability to set a daily data usage limit per device on a UniFi network. • Arabic-speaking freelancer is preferred for better communication. Work Execution: • The setup will be done during a Zoom call, where I will provide remote access to my PC to configure the required settings.
