Waterproof Leg Coverings
Hello, I'm creating a waterproof leg cover product for hikers and fisherman. These would used for hikers when its raining or when they need to cross creeks. I also want them to be used by fisherman as a lightweight wader system. As fishing waders are heavy and do not pack well for hiking. I'm using a polyurethane film for the material. It's heat sealable, waterproof, relatively stretchy and durable. The heat sealing is crucial as sewing a truly waterproof product has proven difficult without high end equipment. I use a 16x24 heat press to create the product and it works very well. I'm at the stage where I need to finalize a design, and need some help. I'm looking to create a small, medium and large version for now and need someone to design the shape of pattern for each size. The pattern for this has to be very simple. Basically, it's two identical pieces fused together, with the seam running along the center like a Christmas stocking. I'd be happy to send the material I'm using and a sample product so you can get an idea of what you'd be working with. Thanks for any interest!
