Description: We're looking for a part-time Frontend Engineer with strong skills in React, Next.js, and Ant Design to help us revamp the UI/UX of an existing business application. This is not a greenfield project—you’ll be working within an established app to modernize and streamline the interface for a better user experience. While some screens will have existing wireframes or design guidance, many will not—so we’re seeking someone who has a good design eye and can make thoughtful UI/UX decisions when needed. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal product and backend teams to ensure smooth integration and visual consistency across the application. Responsibilities: - Redesign and implement UI components using React, Next.js, and Ant Design - Improve layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy to modernize the application interface - Make design decisions where wireframes are not provided, while staying aligned with the overall style and functionality - Optimize responsiveness and performance across devices and browsers - Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow - Participate in regular team check-ins, provide progress updates, and adjust direction based on feedback Requirements: - Strong proficiency in React and Next.js - Hands-on experience with Ant Design (AntD) and its component system - Strong understanding of modern HTML, CSS (incl. Flexbox/Grid), and JavaScript (ES6+) - Experience implementing responsive designs for web applications - Good visual and UX design instincts—able to improve interfaces even without detailed wireframes - Comfortable working independently and managing tasks with limited oversight - Familiar with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitHub pull requests) Nice to Have: - Experience with styled-components or other CSS-in-JS tools - Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch - Light experience with animations/transitions using CSS or libraries like Framer Motion - Knowledge of accessibility best practices
