Description: I'm looking for a versatile and experienced freelancer (or a small team) to help design and improve my website www.drgrommet.com, which focuses on ear infections and ear tubes. In addition to making the site more user-friendly and visually appealing, I want to build and integrate an image comparison tool that allows users to upload pictures of their eardrums and compare them to a database of labeled images. Project Goals: Website Enhancements (WordPress): Improve UI/UX for better nationwide user engagement. Add new sections, including a guide on using at-home ear cameras. Include e-commerce links (e.g., Amazon) and a landing page reference to the guide. Ensure mobile responsiveness and SEO optimization. Incorporate interactive elements like search and user forums (e.g., bbPress or BuddyPress). Image Comparison Tool (No-Code or Low-Code Preferred): Allow users to upload tympanic membrane (eardrum) images. Return automated feedback based on visual similarity to labeled datasets (we will provide a small training dataset to start). Ideally integrate with WordPress via plugin or iframe. Use lightweight computer vision techniques such as: Feature matching (e.g., SIFT, ORB, AKAZE) Image similarity metrics (e.g., SSIM, cosine similarity on embeddings) Basic classification models (e.g., CNNs via TensorFlow.js or hosted API) Optional: Embeddings via pre-trained models (e.g., ResNet, MobileNet) with dimensionality reduction for fast comparison. Preferred Skills: WordPress design and plugin integration. Experience with computer vision, especially medical or diagnostic images. Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Bubble, Retool, Webflow) or ability to create a lightweight frontend/backend integration. Strong communication skills—able to explain technical ideas in plain English. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with medical imaging datasets.
