Photographer Needed for Authentic Portrait Storytelling in Schools
We’re looking for talented photographers/visual storytellers to help us capture authentic, natural-light portraits of students and educators in school settings. The ideal candidate should have experience in people photography, particularly using an iPhone camera, to tell meaningful stories through images. The focus will be on creating engaging, candid portraits that reflect the personalities and interactions within the school environment. If you are passionate about storytelling through photography and can work well in a dynamic setting, we’d love to start a conversation. We're in the business of sharing important stories from within public schools and that requires authentic, natural-light portraits of students, educators, and community volunteers in their real-world environments. What Our Team of Visual Storytellers Do: • Short portrait sessions (5-7 minutes per subject) of 10-14 subjects. This usually takes about 90-minutes to two hours. • Natural light, no staging or heavy edits • Mobile phone or mirrorless camera is fine Delivery: • 8-10 high-res images per subject • Shot in Portrait Mode and set to Studio Light with short Depth of Field. Who You Are: • Socially capable in a broad range of interactions • Good eye for composition • Empathic and compositionally clever • Prepared to climb onto desktops, get down on the floor • Comfortable seeking out the surprisingly great visual perspective • Comfortable working inside schools • Comfortable with some day travel; reliable transportation • Discreet, professional, and always on-time We will provide full visual style guidelines and remote support as needed.
