Comic Illustrator Needed for Non-profit Animated Cartoon

JOB DESCRIPTION: Southern Queens Park Association Inc. (SQPA) is seeking a talented comic illustrator to create dynamic and engaging visuals for an upcoming animated series. The series will consist of three standalone yet interconnected segments: 1. SQPA History – Showcasing the rich history and impact of SQPA in the community. 2. Community Schools Program – Highlighting the role of SQPA’s Community Schools initiative. 3. SQPA’s Other Programs – Presenting SQPA’s six programs as a cohesive unit. Each segment should have a distinct yet cohesive visual style that aligns with SQPA’s mission while allowing each story to stand alone. The artwork should be engaging, visually compelling, and formatted for animation. PROJECT DETAILS: -The illustrator will be responsible for designing characters, backgrounds, and key visual elements that bring the script to life. -The comic illustrator will collaborate with a scriptwriter and a voice-over narrator to bring the SQPA cartoon vision to life. -The contractor will receive SQPA’s branding package, including fonts, colors, logos, and other visual elements. -The project timeline runs from May through June 30th, with all deliverables needing to be finalized and paid for by the end date. IDEAL CANDIDATE: -Experienced comic illustrator with a portfolio in animation, comics, or storytelling-focused artwork. -Ability to create engaging, expressive characters and environments that align with SQPA’s brand. -Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other creatives. -Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to feedback. -Budget: Open for discussion based on experience and project scope.
