Bookkeeper Needed for US-Based Business
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced US-based bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our LLC, a company with multiple revenue streams. We need someone who can handle ongoing monthly bookkeeping tasks and catch up on the last few months of records, as we have not had a bookkeeper for a short period. In addition to routine bookkeeping, we require a financial statement / rough estimate of 2024 net income fairly quickly. This means there will be a heavier workload at the beginning before transitioning into a standard monthly bookkeeping role. Responsibilities: - Reconcile bank and credit card transactions - Categorize and record income and expenses - Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements - Ensure records are up to date and accurate - Work with management to estimate our company's 2024 net income - Provide insights or recommendations based on financial trends - Assist with tax-related recordkeeping and preparation (no tax filing required) Qualifications: - US-based bookkeeper with experience in small business accounting - Proficient in QuickBooks Online - Strong understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices - Experience working with businesses that have multiple revenue sources - Ability to catch up on a backlog of bookkeeping work - Strong communication skills and responsiveness Nice to Have (But Not Required): - Familiarity with cross-border business structures (US-Canada) - Experience working with e-commerce or service-based businesses Workload & Payment: - Initial workload will be heavier as we catch up on past months and estimate 2024 net income - Ongoing bookkeeping will be monthly after initial cleanup - Hourly or fixed-rate pricing negotiable based on experience If you’re a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive bookkeeper looking for a flexible, remote position, we’d love to hear from you!
