Fix & Optimize 3D Models for FDM Printing on Bambu Labs X1 Carbon (STL Provided)
We had a series of models designed for an event this year, but unfortunately they are not printing well on our Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. We are looking for a skilled 3D modeler with experience in preparing STL files specifically for FDM printing. We need someone to: - Clean and repair the provided STL files (see attachments) - Ensure all models are manifold/watertight and printable without artifacts - Remove problematic features (e.g., guy lines on a tent model) - Modify problematic parts (e.g., Sasquatch model's feet and boots) to improve bed adhesion and structural integrity during the print and so that it can stand upright independently (adding a base is acceptable) - Keep details intact while ensuring functionality and printability - Optimize for supports and overhangs where necessary, using best practices for FDM printing with a 0.2mm nozzle Deliverables: - Fixed and optimized STL files, ready for slicing in Bambu Studio - Notes on any changes made - sliced file (3MF) demonstrating successful print orientation and support if familiar with Bambu’s workflow Models that need work: - Sasquatch character (feet/boots have issues printing cleanly) - Tent model (needs guy lines removed) - Other small accessory files (see uploaded STLs) Ideal Candidate: - Experienced with FDM 3D printing and design for printability - Familiar with Bambu Labs machines or similar high-speed printers - Skilled in using tools like Blender, Meshmixer, ZBrush, or similar - Able to turn this around quickly (preferably within a week)
