Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary: Courtside is looking for a contract-to-hire Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of mechanical components for floor-embedded display systems used in basketball court perimeters. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural design, thermal management, electromechanical integration, and environmental testing. Responsibilities: ● Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for Courtside’s LCD display systems. ● Create 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks. ● Perform structural and thermal analysis to ensure product durability and performance. ● Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate display hardware into mechanical designs. ● Select materials and manufacturing processes for impact-resistant, high-durability applications. ● Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Qualifications: ● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. ● Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics, display systems, or ruggedized enclosures. Technical Skills: ● Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design. ● Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and materials selection. ● Knowledge of thermal management, shock resistance, and IP-rated enclosures.
