Cybersecurity Strategist for MSP Location: Remote (USA only) Employment type: Project-based Job Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Strategist to evaluate our current security environment and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to enhance our overall cybersecurity posture. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Windows environments, along with the ability to design a comprehensive, organization-wide security framework. Your insights will play a critical role in helping us safeguard our internal systems and client data against evolving threats such as data breaches, malware, and other cybersecurity risks. Key Responsibilities: - Assess and enhance the company’s security posture by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending strategic improvements. - Develop a security roadmap to guide short- and long-term improvements for risk mitigation and resilience. - Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure the integration of security best practices into daily operations and new technology implementations. - Recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance detection, prevention, and response capabilities. - Assist in the development of incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss. - Deliver a comprehensive final report outlining findings, actionable recommendations, and a strategic plan for continued cybersecurity improvements. Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. citizen. - Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, PCI, etc.), standards, and regulatory compliance. - In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments preferred. - Experience with tools and technologies used in cybersecurity threat detection, incident response, and logging systems. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills. - Certifications in cybersecurity are highly preferred. - Experience in the MSP industry is required.
