Compliance (payroll tax, etc)

This is a unique role for an individual who enjoys compliance type activities for small and midsize businesses in the US. I own and operate an accounting and bookkeeping business. We work with businesses between $1-50M in revenue. We have a fantastic team and this role is going to be so welcome! You will get the opportunity to work with multiple businesses and be our “go to” person for compliance questions and tasks. Some responsibilities for this role includes: - Payroll filings (W2s, 941s, 1099s, etc) - Handling and responding to tax notices - Understanding and assisting with various client tax filings - 1099s and W9 collection - Assisting with workers comp audits - Compliance best practices The expectation is you will have enough knowledge to make sure these businesses are compliant. In summary, this is an accounting role but the specific focus is on compliance activities and advising business owners on best practices.
