Conversational AI Study – Seeking Consultation from AI or NLP PhD
Hello! I'm conducting independent research on ethical conversational AI and am looking for a technically fluent consultant with a background in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) — ideally at the PhD level or equivalent. (I am hoping to use my research for proof-of-concept or a research proposal to apply to PhD programs myself.) The Work I’ve developed a web-based chatbot framework using GPT-based APIs (gpt-3.5 and gpt-4), HTML/JS, and scenario-based prompts for a university research project. The bots are designed to support distinct conversational goals in a controlled A/B test format. I now want to refine study, namely my methodology and bot behaviors, to: - Ensure greater behavioral differentiation between chatbot variants - Improve conversational quality and naturalness within ethical guidelines - Adjust prompt logic for more consistent user engagement and reflection - Tighten my study design to support clearer results in future iterations What You’ll Be Doing - Review sample prompts and system instructions (already built) - Offer strategic feedback on AI prompt design and architecture - Advise on how to maximize LLM capabilities for conversational nuance - Discuss limitations of current API-based implementations (OpenAI models) - Help me clarify experimental logic for a short-form next iteration
