Freelance Graphic Designer for Local Newspaper
Two local newspapers in Ohio are seeking a talented freelance graphic designer with a strong background in newspaper design. Looking to start immediately! The ideal candidate should have experience creating engaging, professional newspaper layouts, and be proficient in Adobe InDesign. Some copy-editing and journalistic experience is also desirable, as occasional headline adjustments, typo corrections, and cutline updates may be needed. Requirements: • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign • Experience with newspaper design • Basic copy-editing skills and journalistic experience • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Commitment: • Both papers are 11 x 17 tabs. One of the papers is 12 pages and publishes every other week. The other is 8 pages and monthly. • Approximately five hours of work per issue There may be other design work from time to time, such as special editions, advertising design and miscellaneous design work.
