Medicaid Credentialing Specialist for Non-Profit Healthcare Organization

He Inspires Youth, a Maryland-based non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Medicaid Credentialing Specialist to help us get set up to bill Medicaid for services provided to youth and families. We currently have our NPI and National Plan Provider Number, and now need a professional to step in and complete the credentialing process with Maryland Medicaid and MCOs (Managed Care Organizations). This is essential so we can legally bill Medicaid and get paid for services like speech therapy, tutoring, mentorship, and behavioral health support. Handle the full credentialing process for our non-profit with Maryland Medicaid Submit applications to Maryland Medicaid and relevant MCOs (e.g., Amerigroup, Aetna Better Health, Maryland Physicians Care, etc.) Complete necessary steps on: CAQH PECOS NPPES Ensure all documents, licenses, and applications are complete and compliant Monitor application statuses and handle follow-ups and resubmissions as needed Assist with setting up our organization in the system to bill for services You’re a good fit if you: Have successfully credentialed other Medicaid providers in Maryland (preferred) Are familiar with CMS, Medicaid regulations, and HIPAA compliance Have working knowledge of CAQH, PECOS, and provider enrollment processes Can work independently and communicate clearly on progress and next steps Are comfortable working with non-profit organizations and therapy/education services This is a short-term project, but we’re open to an ongoing relationship Budget: $400–$600 fixed or hourly ($25–$40/hr) depending on experience Start Date: ASAP
