I am seeking an experienced writing editor to help finalize and polish my memoir, ensuring a compelling narrative flow, consistency, and clarity while maintaining my authentic voice. My memoir explores themes of personal growth, divorce, co-parenting, resilience, coming out, and transformation. In addition to editing, I need guidance on the self-publishing process, particularly for eBook formatting and distribution. Key Responsibilities: -Provide deep developmental editing to refine structure, narrative flow, and coherence. -Conduct line editing and copy editing to enhance readability, grammar, and style. -Improve storytelling and engagement. -Assist in preparing the manuscript for self-publishing, including formatting for eBook platforms (Kindle, Apple Books, etc.). -Guide the self-publishing process. -Offer insight into pricing strategies and marketing options for launch success. Ideal Candidate: -Proven experience editing memoirs or narrative non-fiction. -Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, and thematic consistency. -Familiarity with self-publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or Draft2Digital. -Experience in eBook formatting and conversion. -Knowledge of self-publishing best practices, including book marketing and metadata optimization. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
