Academic Coach & Daily Accountability Tutor for BYU Student
Position Type: Part-Time (8-10 hours per week) Pay: $10/hour Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Academic Coach & Accountability Tutor to support Eliza, a BYU student, in staying organized and on track with her coursework. Eliza has dyslexia and ADHD, so she needs more than just subject tutoring—she needs daily check-ins and accountability to help her stay focused and complete her work. Responsibilities: Check in with Eliza daily to discuss what she needs to work on and ensure she follows through Provide tutoring support in Economics, Humanities, and English Help her prioritize assignments and create a daily study plan Assist in breaking down tasks into manageable steps Hold her accountable to completing work on non-class days Guide her in time management, organization, and study strategies Offer encouragement and motivation tailored to her dyslexia and ADHD Schedule: Daily check-ins (in-person or virtual) Support needed on three weekdays when she does not have class 8-10 hours per week (flexible scheduling) Qualifications: Experience tutoring college-level Economics, Humanities, and English Background in education, special education, or academic coaching preferred Strong understanding of ADHD and dyslexia learning strategies Excellent organization, communication, and motivational skills Patient, encouraging, and adaptable to different learning styles
