Designer needed for Backpacks, Coolers, and Luggage Designs
We are seeking a talented Soft Goods Designer to create innovative and functional designs for backpacks (for both adults and kids), coolers, lunch bags, and luggage. The ideal candidate will manage the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring both aesthetics and usability. Experience in materials, manufacturing processes, and market trends is essential. Join our team to help bring exciting new products to life! Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop backpacks, coolers, lunch bags, and luggage with a focus on functionality, aesthetics, and user experience - Create cohesive assortments of products across categories to achieve a unified, collection-based look and feel - Prepare and deliver design presentations for client reviews and pitches, showcasing concept boards, sketches, and product renderings - Create sketches, renderings, technical drawings, and material specs for product development - Research market trends, materials, and construction techniques to inspire innovative design concepts - Work closely with the Product Development to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements - Collaborate with packaging and branding teams to ensure cohesive product presentation Qualifications: - 3+ years of product design experience in soft goods, including backpacks, coolers, or similar categories - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) - Strong understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes related to bags and soft goods - Excellent visual communication skills (sketching, technical drawing, mood boards) - Ability to develop assortments and collections that deliver a cohesive design story across multiple product types - Highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects at once To apply, please submit your resume, portfolio, and a brief statement highlighting your experience with backpacks and cooler design.
