Mechanical Engineer Needed
For a U.S.-based company developing a minimalist, modular interior product designed for residential use. We are looking for a mechanical engineer or product designer to assist with finalizing the technical design and identifying an efficient and scalable assembly process. The product consists of multiple aluminum and fabric components and is meant for custom fitting and final assembly in our New York-based workshop. Responsibilities: Translate conceptual sketches and visual references into detailed CAD drawings Design a simple, reliable, and repeatable assembly flow suitable for small team production in the U.S. Recommend materials, connectors, and finishes Identify off-the-shelf components where possible to reduce cost Help us source parts or materials from U.S.-based vendors or suppliers Create exploded views, part lists, and spec sheets for fabrication and purchasing
