AWS Infrastructure Optimization for SaaS Platform (Web & Mobile)
We’re running a SaaS platform with web and mobile applications deployed across multiple environments. We’re looking for an experienced AWS engineer to help optimize and modernize our infrastructure setup. ⸻ Goals We want to implement or improve the following: • Instance monitoring and alerting • Load balancer setup • Blue/Green deployments • Automated backups • CI/CD pipelines • Other AWS best practices for scalability and reliability ⸻ Project Details • Backend: C# .NET Core • Database: Microsoft SQL Server • Cloud Provider: AWS • Current Services in Use: EC2 • Environments: Live and Dev (Ohio region) • SSL: Required (we manage and install the certificate) • Source Control: Bitbucket • CI/CD: Not set up yet (nice to have) • Containerization: Not using Docker • Infrastructure as Code: Not in place (no Terraform or CloudFormation currently) ⸻ Deliverables We require complete and clear documentation that our internal developers can use and maintain going forward. This should include: • Full description of the AWS infrastructure setup • Detailed steps for deploying updates to each environment (Dev and Live) • CI/CD pipeline configuration and usage instructions (if implemented) • Monitoring and alerting setup explanation (tools used, thresholds, etc.) • Backup and restore procedures • Load balancer configuration overview • Any scripts, policies, or automation implemented • Access control and security configuration summary • Notes on limitations or future recommendations • All documentation should be well-structured, easy to follow, and stored in our shared repo ⸻ Additional Info • You’ll need to sign an NDA before accessing production systems • Preference given to those with experience deploying .NET apps on AWS EC2 without Docker • Please include examples of past similar projects if available
