Freelance Copywriter—Weekly Blog Content
Benefit Allocation Systems (BAS) is looking to hire a freelance copywriter to support the ongoing production of articles for our weekly News-to-Use blog—an informational resource for HR professionals, benefits administrators, compliance leaders, brokers, faith-based organizations, and other employer groups. This project involves writing five SEO-optimized blog posts per week. Topics cover benefits administration, compliance updates, HR best practices, and related industry insights. Content should be informative, approachable, and aligned with BAS’ tone and messaging guidelines. We encourage the use of AI tools to help accelerate drafting, generate variations, and streamline workflows as long as the content remains accurate, on-brand, and human-reviewed. Use of AI must not involve uploading or inputting any identifying information about the company, and writers are responsible for confirming that all content produced is complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements. The contractor will also be responsible for uploading and distributing the blog each week through HubSpot and BAS’ internal system. Responsibilities: - Write 5 blog articles weekly. - Apply SEO best practices, including keyword usage, clear formatting, and metadata. - Follow assigned topics and/or identify relevant trends for content ideas. - Keep content in line with BAS brand standards and industry lingo. - Upload and distribute the completed blog weekly though HubSpot and our internal system. Requirements: - Proven writing, blogging, or editorial experience (ideally in B2B, HR, Tech, or compliance-related fields). - Strong understanding of SEO writing and structuring content for visibility. - Ability to manage weekly deliverables independently while collaborating with the Marketing Manager and internal BAS subject matter experts as needed. Bonus Points For: - Background writing about HR, benefits, or compliance topics. - Familiarity using HubSpot or other content management systems (CMS). - Experience formatting and publishing blog content or newsletters. - Experience using AI to support content development and workflow efficiency. *Note: This is a recurring freelance role with consistent weekly deliverables (roughly 1–2 days of work per week). We’re seeking someone open to long-term collaboration who can commit to an ongoing writing and publishing rhythm.
