Proof Reader and Writer with Some Web Experience
We are looking for a detail-oriented and versatile Proofreader and Writer to join our team. This role will primarily focus on reviewing and editing existing content on our website, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and engaging content that aligns with our brand and guidelines. In addition to proofreading, the ideal candidate will be able to assist with content creation when needed, particularly in the form of edits, updates, and additions to website copy. Key Responsibilities: Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit existing website content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and readability, ensuring all materials are polished and meet our brand standards. Content Updates: Make direct content updates on the website, following the established guidelines and maintaining consistency across the platform. SEO Knowledge: Write and optimize meta descriptions, titles, and other key SEO elements to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings. Content Uploads: Perform a thorough checklist review of newly uploaded pages to ensure proper formatting, compliance with website guidelines, and accuracy before going live. Writing and Content Creation: Assist with writing new content and making necessary edits for both current and future website pages as required. Collaboration: Work closely with the content and development teams to ensure seamless content updates and fixes. Requirements: Proven experience in proofreading and editing, with a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS), with hands-on experience in making website content updates. Basic understanding of SEO principles, including the ability to write meta descriptions and titles for search engine optimization. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with or on websites, particularly content updates and maintenance. Preferred Skills: Experience with specific CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, etc.) is a plus.
