Do you want to apply for this freelance job vacancy?
Hello. My name is Elizabeth, and I’m a professional photographer with over 10 years of experience in cinematic photography, based in Los Angeles. I’m currently working on a strategic submission campaign to build international recognition through publications, contests, and gallery opportunities — as part of an EB-2 visa process. This is a part-time freelance position and ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and fast with repetitive tasks. The work itself is not technically difficult, but it requires care, responsibility, and a consistent pace. I’m in a creative role and don’t have the time or focus for this kind of task-based work — which is why I need someone to assist me. Your job will be to handle submissions accurately and efficiently, always following the rules of each platform and keeping communication clear. ⸻ What You’ll Be Doing: • Researching relevant, high-quality platforms that accept photography or creative submissions: • Photography magazines (print or online) • Competitions, exhibitions, open calls • Platforms that feature artists, stories, interviews, or creative professionals (not limited to photography-only) • Only active, live platforms should be used — no outdated or inactive links • Verifying all key details before submitting: • Check if the platform is currently open for submissions • Confirm they accept external work or new artists • Always check deadlines, themes, and submission windows • Reading and strictly following submission guidelines: • Image size, number of photos, format (e.g. black and white only), etc. • Using Photoshop when necessary: • Resize or reformat images if required • Preparing and sending submission messages: • You will use my provided bio, artist statement, and image sets from Google Drive • You may use ChatGPT to help write cover letters, but they must sound polite, professional, and appropriate for each specific platform • Submitting through the proper channel: • Via my email (you’ll be given access) • Or via submission forms (you must provide screenshot proof after sending) • Following up if no reply after 1–2 weeks: • You’ll write a friendly, respectful follow-up email, such as: “Hi, just checking in to confirm whether you received my previous submission…” • Checking in with me when unsure: • If a guideline or rule is unclear — stop and ask. Do not guess or assume. ⸻ Important Quality Standards: • This is not about submitting to every random or low-effort platform. • We are primarily aiming for high-level publications, respected editorials, and international magazines. • However, mid-sized or niche platforms are also acceptable — as long as they are active, professional, and relevant to my work. • Small, uncurated, or low-quality sites should not be used under any circumstances. • I prioritize quality over quantity. Even one well-prepared submission is better than five rushed ones. ⸻ Submission Confirmation Protocol: Before sending any submission, you must confirm it with me first. • If multiple platforms have identical or very similar requirements, you only need to check with me once. After that, you may proceed with similar submissions using the same materials. • If a platform has different or specific requirements (e.g. theme, limited number of images, color-only or B&W-only, narrative layout, etc.), you must send me a message so I can select and approve the right work before anything is sent. ⸻ Workload & Earning Potential: This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Your earnings depend entirely on the number and quality of completed submissions. • You’ll be paid $10 per successful and confirmed submission • In the first month, you may complete 30–60 submissions, depending on your pace • After that, the work continues weekly as new platforms are found and new deadlines open up • The more platforms you find and submit to (with approval), the more you earn — as long as the quality remains high Scope of Opportunity: There are over 100–200 active platforms worldwide that accept photographic work from independent artists — including open calls, curated magazines, online journals, and story-based features. Note: offline exhibitions must be based in the United States, preferably in California or Los Angeles, due to location limitations. Some platforms accept submissions year-round, while others open seasonally or monthly. You will help identify and navigate these opportunities, adapting submissions based on deadlines and guidelines. This is a long-term collaboration, potentially lasting 3 months or more, depending on performance and results. ⸻ Requirements: • Detail-oriented and accurate — this is critical • Experience with submissions or similar admin tasks is a plus • Basic Photoshop skills (resizing, saving, etc.) • Good English and ability to write short, respectful emails • Honest, responsive communication • Ability to stay focused and complete repetitive tasks without cutting corners ⸻ Payment Structure: Milestones will be created in batches (for example, 5 or 10 submissions at a time), and payment will be released upon my approval of each milestone. If you find more platforms and complete more submissions (with my approval), you will earn more — as long as quality remains consistent. ⸻ If you enjoy structure, clear expectations, and contributing to meaningful creative work — I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to apply or ask any questions. Thanks, Elizabeth
