Get Hands-On Startup Experience: Packing & Shipping Support (NYC)
Location: Midtown NYC (in-office role, option to WfH after trial period) About Us: We’re a fast-growing startup, and we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented student or intern to join our team as a Packing & Shipping Assistant. This is a hands-on role where you'll be an integral part of our operations, managing inventory and ensuring timely shipping of our products. As we scale quickly, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and grow with the company. Job Description: You will be responsible for managing our shipping process, from packing products to ensuring they’re shipped on time. You will work closely with our Operations Manager and report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The role is flexible and ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory (boxes, patches, sensors), and ensure stocks are replenished as needed. Order Fulfillment: Pack and label orders as they come in, ensuring that all orders are sent by the end of the day (EoD). Shipping: Print and attach shipping labels to packages, ensuring they’re properly marked and tracked. Order Tracking: Enter tracking details in our system to ensure all shipments are properly logged. Collaboration: Work directly with the Operations Manager and assist with other logistics-related tasks as needed. What We’re Looking For: Attention to Detail: The ability to handle shipping tasks meticulously, ensuring accuracy in packing and tracking. Strong Work Ethic: This is an entry-level position suitable for students (starting from 1st-year), looking for hands-on experience in operations. Communication Skills: You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and CPO, so good communication is key. Flexible & Ambitious: We need someone who is adaptable and eager to grow with the company as our shipping volume increases. Skills & Qualifications: No prior experience required, but experience with packing, shipping, or inventory management is a plus. Must be comfortable working with computers (to create and track shipping labels). Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. Compensation: You can choose to be paid hourly or per box shipped, based on your performance and speed of execution. We’re open to adjusting compensation as the company grows. Why Join Us?
