Billboard Design with Custom Illustration (Admiral Nimitz + USS Missouri)

Description: We’re seeking a talented graphic designer and illustrator to create a 9ft x 6ft billboard for the National Museum of the Pacific War, located in Fredericksburg, TX. This project involves both high-quality realistic illustration and billboard layout design. The final product will need to be ready for large-format printing. Scope of Work: Create a detailed, realistic illustration of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Create a detailed, realistic illustration of the USS Missouri (BB-63) battleship Incorporate the Museum’s provided logo and a secondary brand graphic Include the following text: “9.5 Miles Away” “Where History Comes to Life” Use our brand color palette: #7aa2d5 (light blue) #0f416a (navy blue) #8b8c44 (olive green) #c32730 (crimson red) Provide multiple layout drafts for review and one final design Deliver print-ready file (minimum 300 DPI at full scale or scaled for large format printing) Requirements: Strong illustration skills, especially in realistic or historical styles Experience designing for large-scale print (billboards, murals, etc.) Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop Ability to communicate clearly and accept feedback Familiarity with WWII subject matter a plus but not required Deliverables: Final print-ready file (preferably PSD, AI, or PDF) Layered source file All illustrations must be original and fully licensed for commercial use Timeline: We’re hoping to move quickly. Ideally, we'd like a draft within 1 week, with final files delivered in 2–3 weeks.
