Job Description: Web Developer & SEO Expert Company: Excellat (Employee Benefits Brokerage & HR Consulting Firm) Position: Freelance Web Developer & SEO Specialist Location: Remote Type: Contract / Part-Time (Ongoing) Budget: Reasonable, market-competitive rates (Please provide pricing structure) About the Role: Excellat is seeking a skilled Web Developer & SEO Expert to maintain and optimize our website for organic search growth. We are not investing in Google Ads, so we need someone who can drive traffic through technical SEO, on-page optimizations, content strategy, and performance improvements. The ideal candidate is a solopreneur or small agency with proven experience in WordPress (or similar CMS), SEO best practices, and an understanding of B2B lead generation. Responsibilities: ✔ SEO Maintenance & Optimization Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO improvements. Optimize meta tags, headers, internal linking, and content structure. Monitor rankings, fix crawl errors, and improve site speed. Ensure mobile responsiveness and UX best practices. ✔ Website Updates & Maintenance Manage WordPress (or current CMS) updates, plugins, and security. Make minor content updates (text, images, forms) as needed. Ensure fast load times and troubleshoot technical issues. ✔ Content Strategy (Optional Bonus) Suggest blog topics to attract HR/benefits decision-makers and business owners. Optimize existing content for conversions and search intent. Requirements: ✅ Proven experience in SEO (organic growth, no reliance on paid ads). ✅ Strong skills in WordPress (or relevant CMS) and basic web development. ✅ Knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.). ✅ Ability to track and report on SEO performance (traffic, rankings, conversions). ✅ Clear communication and reasonable pricing (prefer fixed monthly retainers). Nice to Have: Experience in B2B or professional services marketing. Basic graphic design skills (Canva, simple image edits).
