Lead Generation Specialist(s) Needed: B2B Mid-Market Focus for Digital Marketing Agency

*Job Description:* We are a growing, data-first digital marketing agency looking to hire one or more experienced Lead Generation Specialists on Upwork to significantly accelerate our outbound sales efforts and build repeatable, scalable systems. Our primary goal is to generate qualified leads for our $2,000 digital marketing audits, serving as a low-risk entry point to our services. Our secondary goal is to upsell audit clients into additional projects or retainer opportunities. *Engagement:* 1. A strategist/consultant to review our existing materials and approach, provide expert evaluation, and propose optimized strategies, materials, and tools. 2. An implementation specialist to set up, manage, and potentially train our team on the proposed lead generation systems and processes. 3. An ideal solution may be to combine both approaches. We are specifically targeting mid-market B2B companies (11-500 employees) with annual revenue of $50 M+. These companies are large enough to have marketing budgets but often lack in-house digital expertise. They’re typically focused on scaling, modernizing, or competing more effectively online, often while juggling legacy systems or lean staffing. *Our Overall Goals:* * Promote our $2K audits as a low-risk entry point for potential clients. * Develop and test effective short- and mid-term outbound sales tactics. * Prioritize outreach to mid-market B2B companies, as well as marketing agencies that do not specialize in data analytics, SEO, or PPC services. * Identify and address sales funnel and tracking gaps, providing a clear measurement roadmap for lead generation efforts (note: implementation of tracking is outside the scope of this specific project unless agreed upon). * Build repeatable, scalable systems to generate demand beyond our current referral network. * Ultimately, secure approximately one appointment per week with a possible partner agency or qualified lead. *Consultant Goals & Responsibilities:* Depending on the role(s) hired, the responsibilities may include: *For the Strategist/Consultant Role:* * Sales Material Evaluation: Review and provide constructive feedback on our existing sales materials (capabilities decks, whitepapers, email sequences, sales pages, etc.) for outbound campaign effectiveness. * Strategic & Tactical Plan Evaluation: Evaluate our current outbound strategy, targeting, and tactics. * Proposal Development: Propose alternative or improved strategies, messaging, targeting criteria, and recommended tools/platforms for outbound lead generation. * Roadmap: Provide a clear, actionable roadmap for testing and implementing proposed tactics. * Measurement Consulting: Identify critical tracking gaps and propose a clear measurement framework to evaluate the success of lead generation activities. *For the Implementation Specialist Role:* * Setup: Configure and set up lead generation tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, outreach automation tools, tracking). * Process Development: Document clear, repeatable, and scalable processes for lead generation activities. * Execution/Management: Potentially execute initial outbound campaigns or manage ongoing processes as agreed upon. * Training: Train our internal team on using the systems and following the processes. * Maintenance: Provide guidance on maintaining the systems or offer ongoing maintenance services. *Required Skills and Experience:* * Proven experience in B2B lead generation, specifically targeting mid-market companies. * Demonstrated success in developing and executing outbound sales strategies (email, appointment setting, social selling, etc.). * Experience with lead generation tools and platforms (please specify tools you are proficient with in your proposal). * Strong understanding of B2B sales funnels and conversion optimization. * Excellent communication and analytical skills. * Ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations (Strategist Role). * Ability to set up and manage technical tools and processes (Implementation Role). * Experience working with or targeting digital agencies is a plus. *Deliverables:* * Specific deliverables will depend on the role(s) hired, but could include: * A comprehensive evaluation report of current materials and strategy. * A proposed outbound lead generation strategy and roadmap. * Development of revised materials, as agreed upon. * Recommendations for tools and technologies. * Configured lead generation tools and documented processes. * Training sessions or documentation. * A measurement plan and identified tracking requirements.
