Podcast Audio/Video Editor Needed for Comedy Show Featuring God We’re looking for a skilled freelance audio/video editor to join the post-production team behind The God Pod—a comedy podcast that blends satire, sketch, and smart commentary. You’ll work closely with our lead editor to edit full podcast episodes, generate short-form content for social media, and cover occasional time off. This is a remote role, but familiarity with fast-paced comedic timing, pop culture references, and audio cleanup is a must. Responsibilities: - Edit 1–2 podcast episodes per week from raw Streamyard footage - Sync multicam footage and adjust lip sync on animated puppets (Premiere) - Engineer audio: remove background noise, level voices, maintain clarity and comedic tone (Audition) - Implement direction on pacing and mood—e.g., not letting tone stay too dark too long - Add intros/outros, ad breaks, and music cues as needed - Mark clip-worthy moments and prepare short video segments for social media - Create pre-roll teaser trailer featuring 2 - 3 short clips (totaling about 1 minute) that runs before the intro stinger. Individual teaser clips may be used for social media clips. - Upload finalized episodes to platforms like Substack - Collaborate with the team for approvals and notes Requirements: - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition - Experience with multi-cam editing, audio engineering, and lip-sync adjustments - Familiarity with podcast post-production workflows and comedic storytelling - Access to personal software/plugins (we can provide a preferred plugin list) - Ability to take feedback and adjust quickly to creative direction Estimated workload: Less than 30 hrs/week Duration: 1–3 months (with potential for ongoing work) Experience Level: Intermediate Type: Freelance / Remote If you love comedy, know your way around Adobe tools, and want to help God sound great—we’d love to hear from you.
