URGENT: Part-time Project Manager needed for network software projects
We are seeking a dynamic part-time Project Manager to oversee the execution of software projects, focusing on SaaS-based software solutions which may involve interactions with network infrastructure, and other web and mobile applications for our diverse client base. This role involves engaging with clients, guiding internal development teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of custom software solutions. Primary Responsibilities: ==================== Client Interaction: Interface with clients to understand and document requirements for custom software projects, including understanding requirements where networking concepts or infrastructure are relevant. Possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant business processes and workflows. Project Leadership: Assist internal development teams, including those working on components interacting with network infrastructure, by providing leadership, direction, and review of all activities associated with project delivery. Take responsibility for product quality, project timeliness, and overall customer satisfaction. Expertise in Business Processes: Serve as a functional and business process expert, ensuring that both business and end-user needs are understood and reflected in every solution, particularly concerning business processes that rely on or interact with network infrastructure. Strive for world-world class quality in project delivery. Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with the Internet technical Project Manager and Team Leader to create and present effective project onboarding processes and materials, such as SOW/High-level Requirements, ensuring necessary inputs from networking technical teams are captured. Design Thinking: Actively lead and participate in Design Thinking sessions to gain insights into end-user and customer needs, specifically considering the perspective of network operators or IT administrators when relevant. Documentation: Create and assist in the development of comprehensive documentation, including User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Feature Descriptions, Process Flows, Analysis Models, Personas, Journey Maps, Wireframes, and User Guides, potentially involving documentation that references or requires input from network-related aspects. Product Backlog Management: Co-manage the Product Backlog for a Product, working with the Lead BSA and Engagement Manager to prioritize requirements, define and manage scope, and plan sprints, considering dependencies, which may include those related to network infrastructure or technical constraints. Engagement with Stakeholders: Engage business owners and other ITS resources to respond to requests for new applications and enhancements, including engaging with network engineering teams. Problem Resolution: Proactively respond to both business and project issues, escalating appropriately. Provide operational support to clients and collaborate with various teams, including networking experts, to resolve issues. Primary Qualifications: ================== Experience: 5+ years supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles, with 3+ years of Business Analyst or System Analysis experience and 3+ years of Project Management experience. Experience managing software development projects that had components interacting with network infrastructure or protocols is beneficial. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience providing Analyst support for web and/or mobile development projects, preferably in Node, Angular, iOS, and Android platforms. In-depth knowledge of software development life cycles, including agile development and testing. Familiarity with basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routing, the difference between IPv4 and IPv6) sufficient to understand project discussions and terminology is helpful. Testing Experience: Experience with test plan creation, automated test scripting, and load/stress testing. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, planning, and leadership skills. Strong management, communication, technical, and remote collaboration skills are a must. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate work between software development and network engineering teams is essential. Adaptability: Ability to adapt and learn quickly, execute seamlessly, and remain detail-oriented while understanding the big picture. Agile Methodology: Well-versed with Agile Methodology and capable of facilitating technical discussions among team members, including those with networking expertise. Team Collaboration: Strong team collaboration skills, relationship-building, and maintaining skills. Foster a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external), including fostering collaboration between software development and network engineering teams. Problem Solving: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating impact analysis, gap analysis, and effective problem troubleshooting skills, including facilitating problem-solving among different technical teams, such as software development and networking. Self-Motivated: Self-motivated with the ability to negotiate and manage expectations across the board.
