Full-Stack Developer with Shopify Experience (Strategy-Oriented)
I’m looking to hire a full-stack developer who brings more than just technical ability. I need someone with strategic thinking and a problem-solving mindset—someone who can help me build and grow a fast-moving e-commerce and subscription-based business. This is not a role for someone who only executes on clear instructions. I’m looking for someone who can think critically, offer suggestions, and operate as a true technical partner. Many contractors on Upwork simply follow orders without understanding the big picture—I need someone who thinks beyond the task. The right candidate should have: Strong experience with Shopify (not just dropshipping templates) Full-stack development capabilities Experience setting up backend infrastructure for customer data collection Familiarity with subscription platforms like Recharge, Loop, Skio, or similar Klaviyo integration knowledge (including event-based flows and automations) Ability to streamline customer flow from sign-up through payment and retention A consulting mindset with an eye for improving business efficiency Key Projects You’ll Work On: Redesign and optimize our Shopify store, including the homepage and checkout experience. The goal is to make the site visually compelling and conversion-optimized, with seamless integration of a subscription system. This will be a key driver of customer acquisition. Build out backend infrastructure to collect and store subscriber data. This includes age, gender, location, interests, email, phone number, subscription type, renewal date, and payment status. You can use custom tools or integrate with existing platforms, as long as the system is clean and scalable. Set up and manage Klaviyo flows to ensure customers receive emails and deals on schedule each month and immediately after they subscribe. The email system needs to be tightly aligned with our data and payment infrastructure.
