Contract Operations Director – Mobile IV Therapy Startup

Job Type: Contract / Short-Term Estimated Duration: 1-2 months Experience Level: Expert Location: Remote with knowledge of CA healthcare regulations About the Project We're launching a premium mobile IV hydration and wellness company in Orange County, California. We’re seeking an experienced Operations Director / Biz Ops Director on a contract basis to help us set up and launch the business from the ground up. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with healthcare operations or medspa/IV therapy startup experience who knows how to build systems, hire clinical staff, and manage suppliers. Your Responsibilities Develop operational workflows and SOPs (client intake, nurse checklists, inventory tracking, etc.) Recruit and onboard part-time RNs and LVNs for mobile IV services Order initial medical supplies, branded scrubs, IV vitamins, and mobile kits Identify and manage vendors and suppliers (compounding pharmacies, medical distributors) Collaborate directly with the founder to manage the timeline and budget Bonus: Assist with tool/platform selection (booking system, CRM, documentation tools) Ideal Background Strong experience in healthcare or medspa operations Knowledge of mobile IV therapy, concierge medicine, or wellness startups Understanding of California medical regulations Experience hiring licensed nurses and managing vendor relationships Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Based in California (or familiar with the state’s requirements) Contract Terms Contract Length: 1-2 months Hourly or fixed rate negotiable based on experience Flexible hours; must be available for occasional real-time check-ins Possibility of longer-term or permanent role after launch How to Apply Please send: A short cover letter outlining relevant experience A resume or Upwork profile Any examples of similar projects or operational documents/SOPs you’ve built (if available) We’re looking to hire ASAP.
