Project Manager – Health Media Campaigns (Contractor)

Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Title: Project Manager – Health Media Campaigns (Contractor) Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: April 23, 2025 – May 12, 2025 (initial 3-week commitment), with potential for extension into projects Reports To: Founder & Director, Unify*Public Location: Remote; Los Angeles-based preferred for in-person production and field testing Overview UnifyPublic (U*P) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the final production stretch of our Mental Health Social Media Campaign. This individual must be adept at managing timelines, people, and content deliverables across multiple stakeholders, balancing production logistics, and public health sensitivity. The right person for this role brings a strong grasp of project management principles and a passion for socially conscious storytelling. Think clipboard in one hand, sage in the other. Bonus points if you're someone intuitive, nurturing, and deeply aligned with structure and care. Key Responsibilities: Campaign Execution & Production (April–May 2025) Oversee all aspects of the campaign: post-production through Los Angeles County-wide rollout Manage daily operations with Producer for PSA filming logistics, location coordination, and call sheets (Filming Days TBD) Lead FIELD TESTING coordination, ensuring materials, location readiness, and staff support Coordinate communications and approvals with stakeholders, including Creative Lead, Creative Producer, and Mental Health Advisor Ensure production assets, releases, and approvals are tracked, reviewed, and stored in designated systems Update the project dashboard daily and maintain master schedules for deliverables Cross-Team Coordination Facilitate regular production meetings, team alignment huddles, and daily check-ins Track talent communications and production support needs Maintain campaign integrity by ensuring each team (creative, clinical, communications) is aligned on voice, message, and delivery Transition & Continuity Planning (Post-May 12) Wrap-up tasks, including campaign close-out checklists, asset packaging, and report prep Support planning for Additional Focus Group projects, including staffing, scheduling, and field implementation Document lessons learned and cross-apply systems for future U*P campaigns Preferred Qualifications 5-8 years of project or production management experience in public health, digital campaigns, media production, or creative consulting Experience with community-based health campaigns or PSA/social impact storytelling is a major plus Comfortable managing logistics, timelines, legal forms, and filming crew details Proficient with project tracking tools like Notion, Trello, Google Suite, or Monday.com Familiarity with working with a startup Familiarity with creative review cycles, feedback documentation, and deliverable workflows Strong communication skills—able to bridge creatives, clinicians, vendors, and government funders Preferred Energy & Vibe Detailed, organized, and deeply emotionally aware You’ve got a Google Drive folder for everything and can produce receipts in under 10 seconds You see chaos and bring order, clarity, and calm (even when production is on fire) You believe in the mission.
