Government Sales Representative for B2B Marketplace

Job Description As a B2B marketplace, Pavilion engages both with public servants involved in purchasing (buyers) and private businesses that sell goods and services to local governments (suppliers). Our services are free for government buyers. You will own a specific go-to-market (GTM) region where you will be responsible for calling government buyers to learn about their purchasing practices & schedule an initial product walkthrough of Pavilion. You will be the first point of contact for these people, serving as a brand ambassador and trusted partner to the public entities you connect with. You’re energized by high-velocity and high-volume outreach, you enjoy the challenge of winning over prospective customers, you’re adept at exciting customers about a new product and you like making connections with people. Your performance will be measured as a percentage of calls made divided by walkthroughs scheduled. Responsibilities - Drive new user growth by making high-volume cold calls to government procurement officials to schedule product walkthroughs - Prioritize prospects within assigned regions and follow up diligently to schedule a walkthrough or convert them into platform users - Educate government buyers about our platform and its benefits - Implement go-to-market strategies with high velocity appropriate for an early-stage startup - Help develop and improve our cold calling playbook based on field experience - Participate in performance metrics reviews and coaching sessions to improve conversion rates Requirements - Experience in B2B sales, preferably with government or public sector clients - Excellent phone communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly - High energy and resilience for high-volume cold calling - Consultative sales approach and ability to understand prospect needs - Self-motivated with ability to work independently toward call and conversion targets - Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) - Understanding of government procurement processes is a plus Success Metrics Performance will be measured primarily by the ratio of calls made to walkthroughs scheduled. Location This is a remote position. However, familiarity with your assigned region's government structure is beneficial. Compensation -Competitive hourly rate based on experience & location ($20 to $60 / hour) with potential for performance-based incentives. Hours This is a part-time, contracted position. We anticipate 20 hours per week, making calls between 9am and 4pm in the timezone of your GTM region.
