We’re looking for an experienced Backlink Manager to join our team on a part-time, long-term basis. This is a remote role that offers flexibility but requires strong communication, consistency, and a deep understanding of what makes a quality backlink. This is not an entry-level position. You must have experience managing backlinks and working with backlink prospectors or vendors. You'll oversee link quality, collaborate with our team to hit monthly quotas, and step in to handle prospecting or outreach as needed. This role directly impacts client performance, and we have high standards for what constitutes a strong, relevant backlink. You will be trained by the current Backlink Manager who is transitioning to a new role and the owner of the company. We’ve built a highly effective backlink strategy over the past 3.5 years, and you’ll be expected to uphold and improve this process with support from our team. This role pays per backlink that goes live. The amount of backlinks we build a month ranges from 25-70 and current earnings range from $1,500 to $3,000/month for approximately 15–20 hours per week. You can choose any 3-hour block within that range. Fridays are more flexible, you must be available for 3 hours sometime between 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST. These hours are used for reviewing link opportunities, communicating with our backlink builders, and completing your primary work. You are expected to be actively working during that time. The current backlink manager on our team currently spends about 2–3 hours per day on the role, but depending on the volume of links and client needs, you should be prepared to commit more if needed. This is a part-time role with consistent work, not a casual freelance position. Responsibilities Review and approve backlink opportunities submitted by our prospecting team based on strict criteria Ensure monthly backlink quotas are met, step in with your own outreach when necessary Communicate with backlink builders to provide clear feedback and direction Evaluate websites based not only on metrics, but also your own SEO intuition Work within budget while maintaining link quality standards Track approved links and ensure they are delivered correctly and live Our Backlink Requirements Domain Rating (DR) 30+ U.S.-based sites with 1,000+ monthly organic traffic The specific page we’re placed on must receive traffic Links must be contextually relevant to the client’s niche What We’re Looking For Fluent in English (native speaker preferred) Proven experience with backlink building, SEO strategy, and evaluating link quality Excellent communication and decision-making skills Comfortable with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar Organized, reliable, and consistent in meeting quotas This is a reliable part-time role with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity as our needs expand.
