We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote College Admissions Expert to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your previous experience in college admissions to guide and support students through the complex application process. As a key member of our consulting team, you will provide individualized advising, comprehensive application review, and insightful essay guidance to help students gain admission to their dream colleges and universities. Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance and personalized advising to high school students on all aspects of the college admissions process. Conduct thorough reviews of student applications, including academic transcripts, extracurricular activities, and standardized test scores, providing constructive feedback for improvement. Offer comprehensive essay guidance, including brainstorming topics, developing strong narratives, and refining writing skills to create compelling personal statements and supplemental essays. Assist students in identifying suitable colleges and universities based on their academic profiles, interests, and goals. Explain application requirements, deadlines, and procedures for various institutions. Stay up-to-date on current trends, policies, and best practices in college admissions. Communicate effectively with students and their families through virtual meetings, email, and other online platforms. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in college admissions at a college or university. In-depth knowledge of the college application process, including various application platforms (e.g., Common Application, Coalition Application), standardized tests (e.g., SAT, ACT), and financial aid. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Proven ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance on application materials, particularly essays. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and deadlines effectively in a remote environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and families. Bachelor's degree required. A Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, education) is a plus.
