Job Posting: Accountant Needed for Small Business – Tax Filing & Ongoing Support Location: Remote or Southern California (Preferred) Job Type: Contract / Part-Time Start Date: ASAP Description: YA Creative Design Partners Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced accountant to assist with our business accounting needs and tax filings. We are a California-based design and engineering firm providing civil, structural, and MEP services. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an accounting professional who understands small business financial management and U.S. tax compliance—especially for service-based companies that outsource work to international freelancers. Responsibilities: Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns (Federal and CA State) Set up or review bookkeeping systems (QuickBooks preferred) Track business income, expenses, and freelance contractor payments Help categorize and optimize deductible business expenses Ensure proper documentation of 1099 payments and international freelancer expenses Advise on strategies to reduce tax liability and stay compliant Provide general financial reporting and support as needed Qualifications: Proven experience with small business accounting and tax preparation Knowledge of U.S. tax law, especially for LLC or S-Corp structures Experience with freelance/contractor payment documentation CPA license or EA (Enrolled Agent) is preferred but not required Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Comfortable working remotely and providing ongoing support
