Shopify Admin Specialist / E-Commerce Backend Assistant (Ongoing Hourly Role)
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Shopify admin assistant who can act as our go-to resource for all backend work inside Shopify. This is not a design or development role — it’s operational. You’ll help us maintain and optimize our store by handling the day-to-day grunt work inside Shopify. You should be someone who lives in Shopify and knows your way around the entire backend. Role Responsibilities: Upload new products (including descriptions, pricing, images, tags) Create and manage collection pages Update product details, inventory, and variants Install and configure apps (reviews, upsells, subscriptions, etc.) Set up basic shipping profiles and test checkout settings Make content or layout changes using Shopify’s native editor Troubleshoot and test basic store functionality Maintain homepage and landing pages with new product drops or featured collections Keep the store clean, organized, and functioning smoothly What You DON’T Need To Do: No custom coding required No need to design product images or site visuals No marketing strategy needed — just implementation Must-Have Qualifications: 2+ years hands-on experience working inside Shopify (not just setting up your own store) Familiar with common Shopify apps and how to configure them Knows how to troubleshoot product and page visibility issues Comfortable working with Google Docs/Sheets to manage product uploads and changes Highly detail-oriented — we need someone who double-checks their own work Responsive communication and consistent availability Nice-to-Have: Experience with Shopify Plus Familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, ReCharge, Judge.me, PageFly, etc. Basic understanding of product merchandising and e-commerce UX This is a long-term, hourly position. We want someone who can grow with us and be in the Shopify backend daily — keeping things moving, clean, and accurate. We’ll provide clear direction — we just need you to execute quickly and cleanly.
